Wedding videos are becoming increasingly popular in modern society. Wedding videos are so important because they show a bride and groom doing what most people only dream about doing – growing old together while celebrating the beginning of their married life. Even though many weddings in the past have been recorded by just family members and friends, today’s wedding videos feature well-known personalities from the entertainment world. Celebrities are being chosen to make popular wedding videos because they can easily command expensive fees for such events. With a little bit of planning, it’s possible to have one of these high-priced video shoots without having to spend as much money as an average videographer might charge.
Wedding videography is actually a video production which records a wedding ceremony on videotape. The result of the videographer’s documentation is commonly known as a wedding video, or a wedding video preview. In today’s world it is also sometimes referred to as a wedding video, or a wedding film, or a pre-ceremony DVD. The word ‘wedding’ refers to not just the ceremony, but also to a whole series of preparations which must be undertaken prior to the actual wedding ceremony. These preparations, called ‘de-caffeination’, may include the choice of wedding attire and wedding favors, the booking of a wedding venue, rental of equipment, and even the decoration of the reception hall.
Videographers use the DVD or VCR to record the ceremony and then transfer it onto a computer to create the DVD or VHS tape backups. The backing tracks will usually contain all the sounds and images which have been recorded by the videographers equipment and it is this footage which is then edited using professional video editing software. Although some videographers may prefer not to use editing software, because they may believe that it takes away from the artistic quality of the film, a number of professional videographers agree that editing offers the best way of enhancing the quality of wedding videos.
In addition to enhancing the quality of the wedding videos, editing also adds special effects and other special effects to the video look. This is especially true when the bride and groom are recorded separately and the video looks very different when the two are blended together. The two shots can then be blended together by means of a graphic editing program. Other shots can then be added to the blend and this can be done either by the bride and groom themselves by means of individually recorded audio, by mixing and matching the sound of each voice, by digitally mixing the sound, or by using a combination of any of these methods. The video editor will often add special effects such as smoke and fire, moving images, and text in order to make the video look even more entertaining and appealing.
After the video is shot, and it is edited, a great deal of work goes into making sure that everything looks the way that people want it too. There are several different factors at play in making sure that the wedding videos come out looking the way that they should. It is important for all involved to make sure that the lighting is appropriate and that the person operating the camera is able to see the screen clearly, that they are comfortable with the equipment that they are using, that the person operating the camera is not distracted in any way, and that the person operating the camera can hear what is being said on the other end of the phone.
The same principles apply to the editing of wedding videos. It is important for the person operating the camera to be comfortable and confident in what they are doing, and that the individual is able to see the screen clearly. It is equally important for the editor to make sure that everything that they are adding to the video fits well with the rest of the picture and comes out looking good. For example, it would be inappropriate for the animated characters in the animated wedding videos to be shown as smiling when the couple’s lips are moving. Again, this would ruin the mood of the video and make it unappealing to watch.
